Frequently Asked Questions

  • A few important distinctions between NBC and the big box bar prep companies are the price, the practical course content, the live lectures with practicing attorneys that have been in your shoes and gone on to have successful careers at some of the largest law firms in the world.

  • NBC covers the major bar exam subjects including: business associations (agency, partnerships, corporations, and LLCs), contracts and sales, criminal law and procedure, evidence, civil procedure, constitutional law, real property, torts, and workshops for bar exam essay writing, professional responsibility, and the performance test.

  • Live classes are held at 12pm noon PT / 3pm ET on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the months leading up to the bar exam. We increase the frequency of classes leading up to the exam to cover the essay bootcamp, hot topics, predictions, acronyms, formulas, and exam tips before the big day.

  • Start as early as possible. There is a lot to learn, so a head start is incredibly beneficial. Many students begin studying after graduation from law school in May and continue studying through the bar exam in July.

  • “No interest is valid unless it must vest, if at all, no later than 21 years…” That’s the extent we will discuss RAP and many of the other topics that are rarely tested on the bar exam. NBC focuses on the most commonly tested areas of each subject to ensure your time is well spent on the things you actually need to know to pass the bar. Remember, the bar exam is not about answering every question correctly. The exam is about answering just enough to get over the bar.
